About me and my intentions, from my Galaxy
to Yours |
|
In three years on Sunrunner, I've
barely missed a day, including when my house was
destroyed by Hurricane Ivan Sept 2004.
(I
unlocked jedi from a hotel room while waiting for it to
be rebuilt)
I ground my jedi template pre CU
while overt, in my city I hosted most of the rebel
paddys from each of the "trusted" rebel guilds, I killed
many BH using group and militia TEF's to protect the
up-and-coming guardians of our Rebel bases.
When
the CU hit, and later when the NGE hit, I saw the old
rebel alliances evaporate, along with many of the core
guilds. (I went Officer with the NGE, the last
profession I will play)
Both times, I found
myself in the position of being the only rebel who had
relationships with what we had left over, including many
guilds that while solid, were never noticed or given
their due respect.
I was not one of the "great"
rebels pre CU, though I was always involved in fighting
beside those who were. But if I hadn't put together new
alliances and worked to pull together the remnants of
the Sunrunner rebels, it wouldn't have been done. And
since then many of the greats have returned, and the
faction is as strong and united as I have ever seen it.
Since May 2005, I have had to log in every
single day to organize and rally the rebels, to build
the new guilds and bring together the vets and new
players, so the vets got the respect they deserved, and
the newer players had a chance to prove themselves and
find acceptance in the rebel alliance.
Right
now, player base wars (not base clubbing, the real base
wars) are intense in Sunrunner and growing, PvP like you
can't find in Restuss or in the Static bases, desperate
fights over each other's own cities have taken hold and
it's the future of all of SWG I think. My own City of
Conviction, Lok is the shining star of the rebellion, we
built it last year in secret, to retire many rebel
cities whose current activity did not live up to the
infamy they will always have.
The rebels in
Sunrunner know no fear, neither words nor death can slow
them down, they are the players who have stepped up to
and faced every challenge and have proven themselves
beyond anything anyone could have expected of them.
I find myself looking at a rebellion that is
full of capable leaders, and has established channels of
coordination, that for the first time since May 2005, I
feel I need to take some time to myself and let them
step up, god knows they are capable of it.
I've
put in time in leadership in my faction because I had
to, not because I wanted to, and I look forward to
following once again, and taking a back seat to the new
players, it's their time.
I expect that once
they do so I will be back in a more supportive role,
showing up when called on and fighting my hardest
against the Empire on someone else's orders.
Right now, I want to step out of it and let them
shine for a while, and I can think of no better
vacation, then being a guest in a server where imperials
have overwhelming numbers, finding a cloner, and zerging
until the medical droid adds me to his friends list
In the meantime I thank you in Legacy
of Fire, as one of the most committed rebel guilds I
have ever observed, for welcoming me and a few of my
closer friends to your server as you have done, we will
do our best to follow your standards and not try and
impose ours on you, we will follow the leadership Manic
has in place and will do our best to support you as you
lead the Shadowfire rebellion forward.
I salute
you all, Private Haleigh' Comette-Sunrunner
(Shadowfire) a.k.a. General Haleigh Comette
(Sunrunner) Leader of Force of Will, a.k.a.
<ZERG>
If we ever become a burden, we
will, without any feelings but respect toward all of
you, start our own guild here, whether or not we do we
will have your back because at the end of the day.
We live as One We breathe as One We fall
as One
